THE GOLDEN DESTINY

THE GOLDEN DESTINY
Benee Wilson

I remember the day I was born
in a gutter, so naked,so puny,
I thwarted,glared around to see
nothing but dirt,waste and defecation
I was real sad ,is this my destiny?
to live amidst the filth?
Penury struck me hard
Agony,pain and numbness followed
I battled with my creator
but to no avail.
It was silence ,deep dead silence
Lest i should know GOD was sterling
I waited for his loving arms,
for a MIRACLE.......
All hopes in vain, agony flared up
Life was nearing the end,I knew
I rolled on to a leaf and slept
One morning,as i brushed my eyes
I realized something beautiful
I had grown two iridescent wings
so huefully beautiful
I was taken aback.
From the naked puny worm
I was metamorphosized
into a beautiful butterfly,
Clasping my wings I flew up
from the gutter, all gunge and gunk
turned to gusto,a wonderful world
Of LIGHT,LIFE and LOVE awaited me.
I sat upon a pink tulip
She blushed with joy at my arrival
I gustated nector from her
enjoying the unison......
then i heard a voice from above say,
Yes this iS your destiny
Your Golden Destiny
Your life's purpose,Your heart's desire
THE GOLDEN DESTINY ! ! ! !

scarlet letter

Dear…
How long will u weep and curse your fate?
All that precious gifts wrapped in for a beautiful day
Sweets that awaited to glorify the occasion of your wedding
Palanquin bearers that chiseled the cart for your auspicious day
Broken and shattered dreams of yours..Oh how lonely is your soul.

Heartless is those who avert their glance.
Poor society was harsh and unfaithful.
Justice and courage failed to win
Mothers locked their girl child in their embrace,
rather than teaching them to fight such evil fates.

Soumya,
You are not the first…
And let me tell you..you are not the last.
I grieve for you and fail to shudder the delusions of heinous society.
I wonder how you couldn’t resist that impaired womanizer.
Oh I forgot you are silly creature of tormented race.
You were never trained to speak for your rights,
Never did you raised your feeble voice against injustice, even of the slightest form.

Soumya,
why you didn’t raise your voice ill more, y didn’t you hit him even stronger?
You made womanhood  weak…

Your ashes from your grave will stain this time.
The crime continues.. in mumbai,in delhi…
Oh!poor soul,our fate.

This should be stopped.
This is the need of the hour.
Pray for us dear soul.
Pray,so that no male eye look up on our sisters and daughters for wrong intentions.
Pray, so that womanhood be safe and strong.
Pray,so that our father, brothers and sons stay as such and behold their responsibilities.
I pledge you that,
I will never leave a chance to change the present mindset.
I oblige you that,
I continue and convey the message of justice, courage and truth.
I promise you that,
I will never let your eyes shed tears.
 not anymore…

  with love,

Jeffy Jaison
