An important announcement

                        'Thudy' and Janamaithri Suraksha Samithi, Irinjalakuda is joining hands together to spread smiles on the faces deserted by their relatives. Yes, we are celebrating this Christmas with the inmates of the old-age homes in Irinjalakuda on the Christmas Day in the College Auditorium.

CHRISTMAS CARD Making Competition

                      In connection with Christmas celebrations 'Thudy' is conducting a Christmas Card Making competition for the students on 23-12-2010 at 1 PM in the MMT Hall. Interested students are requested to contact the Department of Malayalam to register their names on or before 21-12-2010.


Rules:-
1. A participant can make only one card.
2. The size of the card is not restricted.
3. The participants themselves should bring the required materials to make the card. NO materials will be provided the organizers.
4. The time duration of the competition is ONE HOUR.

CHRISTMAS CARD Exhibition

            As a part of Christmas celebrations 'Thudy' is organizing a Christmas Card Exhibition in the campus on 15th & 16th December 2010. All are cordially invited to witness the same.

Christmas Carol Competition

'Thudy' is organizing an inter-departmental Christmas Carol Competition for the ever rolling trophy on 14-12-2010 in the college premises. The interested departments can give their names to the Department of Malayalam.

Rules and regulations.

1. The competition is among various departments of the college. So ONLY ONE team is allowed from a department.

2. The number of participants in a team is not restricted as it is NOT a criteria of the competition. Rather the involvement of the students is more important. 

3. Each team can choose their own route of the carol inside the campus provided that the carol will end up at the flag-post where they have to perform something ( say, a dance, a song, a drama or the like). The total time given for all these is 8 minutes.
 
4. A nominal registration fee will be collected  from the participating teams.

5. The decision of the judges will be final.

A new venture by 'Thudy'

 'Thudy Malayala Vedi' has launched a 'wall-blog'- KAYYOPPU in the college campus, where the students can put their literary as well as art works for display. The readers of these creative pieces are allowed to write their comments on them in the space provided. 'Thudy' do expect your kind co-operation to make this endeavor successful.

Quiz Competition

The Malayalam club- THUDY - is organizing a quiz competition on 05-10-2010. The programme will commence at 10.15AM in the MMT Hall of the college. It will have two parts- A preliminary written round (to shortlist the finalists) and then the final oral round. All are cordially invited to the same.

Rules:-
* The topic for quiz is KERALA ( including its history, culture, arts, literature, politics, personalities etc.).
* A team of two, regardless of Department and year of study, can participate. And individual participation is not allowed.
* The teams are requested to register their names to the Department of Malayalam.
* Spot registration also is allowed.
* Registration Fee is Rs. 20 per team.

'Thudy' Malayalavedy organized a flower( only the native flowers of Kerala) collecting competition for the students in the College Gallery on 19-08-2010. The event was named 'Poovukalkkoru Punyakaalam'. With a collection of 334 verities of flowers Swetha K.R. bagged the first place. Greeshma C.J. with 322 types of flowers and Rini Raphael with 303 flowers secured the second and third places respectively.

Mrs. Kusumam Joseph, faculty, Carmal College, Mala inaugurated the activities of'Thudi', the Malayalam Club of St. Joseph's College, Irinjalakuda, for this academic year by lighting the ceremonial lamp. She also released a manuscript on the folklore and antique pieces exhibition 'Chimizhu' by handing it over to the principal. A CD on the same was released by Dr. Sr. Reshmi, Head of the Department of History. Principal Dr. Sr. Annie Kuriakose presided over the function in which the head of the Malayalam Department Mrs. Litty Chacko welcomed the gathering.

The Malayalam Club, Thudi, will begin its activities for the academic year 2010- 11 by the official inaugural ceremony on 17th August 2010. The function will commence at 2.45 pm in the M.M.T. Hall, St. Joseph's College, Irinjalakuda. Mrs. Kusumam Joseph, faculty,  Carmal College, Mala, will inaugurate the same. It will be followed by the release of a CD and a manuscript on the folklore and antique pieces exhibition, Chimizhu, organized by the club. All are cordially invited to attend the function.
