Poovukalkkoru Punyakaalam
'Thudy' Malayalavedy organized a flower( only the native flowers of Kerala) collecting competition for the students in the College Gallery on 19-08-2010. The event was named 'Poovukalkkoru Punyakaalam'. With a collection of 334 verities of flowers Swetha K.R. bagged the first place. Greeshma C.J. with 322 types of flowers and Rini Raphael with 303 flowers secured the second and third places respectively.

'Thudi' is inaugurated
Mrs. Kusumam Joseph, faculty, Carmal College, Mala inaugurated the activities of'Thudi', the Malayalam Club of St. Joseph's College, Irinjalakuda, for this academic year by lighting the ceremonial lamp. She also released a manuscript on the folklore and antique pieces exhibition 'Chimizhu' by handing it over to the principal. A CD on the same was released by Dr. Sr. Reshmi, Head of the Department of History. Principal Dr. Sr. Annie Kuriakose presided over the function in which the head of the Malayalam Department Mrs. Litty Chacko welcomed the gathering.

Official inauguration of Malayalam Club 'THUDI'
The Malayalam Club, Thudi, will begin its activities for the academic year 2010- 11 by the official inaugural ceremony on 17th August 2010. The function will commence at 2.45 pm in the M.M.T. Hall, St. Joseph's College, Irinjalakuda. Mrs. Kusumam Joseph, faculty, Carmal College, Mala, will inaugurate the same. It will be followed by the release of a CD and a manuscript on the folklore and antique pieces exhibition, Chimizhu, organized by the club. All are cordially invited to attend the function.
